Shop Together

Shop Together is the revolutionary program that allows you to shop online with a friend, a relative, your decorator or anyone else whose advice you value. Shop Together allows each person to see what the other one is looking at, save rugs to a shared favorites area and chat.

Come and Shop Together for Area Rugs

Shop Together is very easy to use. All you need to do to get started with Shop Together is sign in and you will be able to see what the other person is looking at and save rugs to a favorites section which both of you can refer back to. As you browse through the store you can discuss what you are looking at on the phone or in the chat box part of the Shop Together tool bar. Shop Together was developed for RugSale by Decision Step to make shopping online a social experience.


	To get started with Shop Together you only need to follow three easy steps after clicking the Shop Together button that you will see in the upper right hand corner of any of the normal RugSale pages (To get there click the Come and Shop Together for Area Rugs link above). Enter your first name in the box and click next.

	Click "Join A Friend" if a friend has called or emailed you and asked you're advice. Or you can click on "Have A Friend Shop With You" if you would like some ones advice while shopping.

	If you clicked "Join A Friend" enter the code your friend gave you and you will be shopping together.

	If you chose "Have A Friend Shop With You" call or email your friend the code and when they enter it you will be shopping together.

At this point you will see three boxes in the Shop Together tool bar. The box on the left shows what product you are looking at. Obviously it will only show what product you are looking at if you are on a product page. The box on the right shows what your friend is looking at. By clicking on the product in their box you will be taken to the product page they are viewing. If you find a rug you think is a good possibility but you would like to keep looking you can drag it into the center "Shared Favorites" box so you can both take a second look at it later. You can change your friends' page so they will be looking at the product page you are looking at by clicking the "Change Friends Page" link at the top of the Shop Together tool bar or you can drag and drop the rug from you box into your friends.

If your friend has a dial up connection or they can't talk on the phone at the time (not that they would be shopping from work or anything) you can both use the chat feature. You only need to click the chat link in the upper right hand corner of the Shop Together tool bar and you can chat about what rug would be best for you.
