The Ultimate Shag is the thickest plushest Mod Acrylic rug on the market. All the rugs are made with modified acrylic which simply means they meet all fire rating and color fastness, which is a government regulation. These rugs are made the exact way that the traditional Rya rugs were made hundreds of years ago in Scandinavia. In this product Hellenic Rug Imports, Inc. does not offer only the thickest but also the least expensive. Due to the nature of this rug shedding will occur in the beginning also some strand may come out due to the hooking process, this is not detrimental to the rug because this occurs to all good shag rugs. Use a soft plastic rake to brush up pile after heavy use. Professionally clean only.
