These rugs are made the exact way that the traditional Rya rugs were made hundreds of years ago in Scandinavia. Due to the nature of this rug shedding will occur in the beginning also some strand may come out due to the hooking process, this is not detrimental to the rug because this occurs to all good shag rugs.
